Q1. What can the predictive diagnostics solution HiPAMPS do?

Using the sensor data from the equipment, variations in the equipment status can be detected by data mining (multivariate analysis), and alerts and warnings can be provided to the user. By indicating the sensors influencing the status variation in a specific order, analysis of the cause of failure can be supported.

Q2. How is it different from conventional equipment diagnostics systems?

In many conventional systems, status determination is performed with experience and equipment design values as the detection conditions. In such conventional systems, these conditions are required to be set in accordance with the operation status and environment of the equipment, and examination of the values to be set is difficult.

This system uses its data mining function to automatically generate learned data for each operation status and environment of the equipment; therefore no complex detection conditions are required.

Q3. How soon can the status variation be detected?

The speed of detection differs according to the type of anomaly that has occurred with the equipment and how the learned data is to be generated. For example, although sudden power failures cannot be detected, there is an example of cases in which phenomena such as wear and voltage drops had been detected before about one month of occurring the actual failure.

Q4. We have already been collecting equipment data. Do we have to install new sensors?

If data have already been collected from your equipment, the collected data can be used. If the number of sensors is insufficient for the desired anomalies and failures to be detected, installation of additional sensors is required.

Q5. What is the data collection time required for sufficient data learning?

The detection can function with about two weeks’ worth of data, but this system performs its learning with data from recommended period of about one month to achieve sufficiently high diagnostic accuracy.

Q6. Do you accept detection evaluation prior to the actual introduction?

We will ask you to send the concerned data in formats such as an Excel file format or the CSV file format, and use them to evaluate whether variations of status of the target equipment can be detected prior to the actual introduction.

Q7. What is the device configuration?

Although it depends on the amount of the data to be diagnosed, the system can be configured for a minimum of one personal computer. The system can be further enhanced according to your needs.
