Phased-array ultrasonic flaw detector

The phased-array ultrasonic flaw detector performs non-destructive inspection and displays images of internal defects or surface defects, including steel materials, welds, sintered materials, and CFRP, by using ultrasonic waves. Phased-array flaw detection can change the ultrasonic beam direction or focal depth as desired. Various ultrasonic data display functions allow you to analyze and evaluate the ultrasonic flaw detection results. A high-function type and a compact type are available, depending on applications. You can choose the detectors to suit your applications.

The selection of sector scan and linear scan, in which the usages can be changed according to the flaw detection methods, number of elements in use, number of simultaneous excitations, and focal depth, can easily be set on the special screen.

High-damping materials can be inspected using burst waves.

The positive wave, negative wave, or both waves of the square pulse can be selected according to the inspection object. High-damping materials can be inspected using five burst waves at maximum.

Superimposed display on the shape data is available.

To improve discrimination between a flaw and the ultrasonic wave reflection echo from a complicated shape, the B scope image of the ultrasonic wave flaw detection can be superimposed on the shape data of the inspection object.

Flaw detection by the sector-scan synthetic aperture focusing technique (S-SAFT Method*) is available.

To improve the identification of the ultrasonic image, sector images from transferred information can be synthesized.

Automatic inspection combined with a scanner is available.

To improve inspection reliability and efficiency, an interface capable of external connection is installed. Automatic ultrasonic flaw detection combined with a scanner can be performed.
